According to the SPCB's summary bulletin of the last 72 hours, the victims were struck by lightning in the provinces of Huíla, Huambo, Bié and Benguela.
The phenomenon of electrical discharges in Angola is a concern due to the number of deaths they cause every year during the rainy season, essentially in the central area of the country.
The SPCB did not make annual statistics available.
Last year, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, lamented the deaths of almost 70 people struck by lightning in the provinces of Huambo and Huíla, following heavy rains.
Firefighter data from last weekend also shows the deaths of 11 people from presumed drownings.
