"The new Isuzu agency, located on Via Expressa, represents Carby's launch into the national market, where it will invest, this year alone, around 20 million euros. Carby's arrival in Angola has already generated 85 direct jobs, occupied by young Angolans under the age of 30. Quoted in the note, the general director of Automatriz, Ângelo Ferreira, reaffirmed that Carby's entry into the country, marked by the opening of the Isuzu agency in Viana, is part of an investment "greater than 20 million euros" for this year.
However, he added that this is "just" the beginning, with the company planning to make a new investment, worth 20 million euros, next year.
"This is just the beginning. This year, we want Carby to grow and consolidate itself in Luanda, and we are also thinking of opening Isuzu sales and assistance points in Benguela, Saurimo and in the province of Cabinda", he indicated, adding that in the next year, "Automatriz plans a new investment of 20 million euros in Angola, as part of the group's expansion plan, with the representation of other brands".
At the inauguration, which took place this Thursday, Ângelo Ferreira highlighted the "reliability of Isuzu vehicles", with the aim of "competing for leadership in the Angolan market, affirming Isuzu as the major reference brand in the light commercial vehicle sector".
To this end, the person responsible made it known that Carby and the Automatriz group will focus on "their biggest differentiator – the close proximity to the customer and the after-sales assistance service".
"Carby's objective is not just to sell cars, but to provide a mobility solution, a quality service after the moment of sale, which is when our relationship with the customer really begins. The challenge is to be able to provide the best assistance technique, supplying replacement parts and adapting our structure to the real needs of customers, thus creating cycles of loyalty", he said.
In turn, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Land Transport Agency, Énio Costa, highlighted and welcomed the "confidence of businesspeople who continue to believe in the policies that are being outlined by the Angolan executive", despite "the complex context of the economy Angolan".
"The Ministry of Transport and the government of Angola are working on electromobility policy", he said, leaving an appeal to companies in the automotive sector to start "looking at this aspect and the respective business opportunities".
