The Thambwé project exhibition, dedicated to promoting Cokwe's musical heritage, will open on February 27th.
The inauguration will take place at 6pm at Camões - Portuguese Cooperation Center.
At the ceremony, open to the public, the main results achieved by this initiative will be presented and the ambassadors of Portugal, the European Union and Spain will be present, as well as representatives of various institutions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The exhibition will be on display until March 19th, in Camões.
It should be noted that the Thambwé project, developed in Lunda Norte since March 2022, has the support of PROCULTURA, an action financed by the European Union, co-financed and managed by Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, I.P., and supported by Spanish Embassy in Angola and the Open Earth Foundation (Brussels). The project has been implemented at the Dundo Regional Museum, with the support of J.R.S. (Jesuit Refugee Service Angola) in financial management. Furthermore, ethnomusicologist and composer David López Sáez is the project coordinator.
