According to a government note, which VerAngola had access to, Francisco Alegre Duarte said that matters related to technical and professional training and the Program for Strengthening Resilience and Food and Nutritional Security in Angola (FRESAN) "deserve greater Warning".

At the audience granted by the minister to the ambassador, the official said that they spoke in detail about some areas: "We spoke in detail about some areas, especially about technical-professional training and we exchanged views on FRESAN, a program to strengthen food and nutritional resilience in the south of Angola. It was a productive and positive meeting", said the ambassador, quoted in the statement.

Among the matters addressed is also the national human development plan and the next strategic cooperation plan between Portugal and Angola.

"We are talking specifically about the national human development plan that will be applied in the coming years and that coincides with the next strategic cooperation plan of Portugal, which covers several structural areas, such as health, education, justice, security and defence", he indicated.

The exploration of new areas of collaboration was also discussed, encompassing economic diversification and the country's demographic challenge. "We are also available to expand the scope of this strategic cooperation program to new areas, namely those related to Angola's economic diversification and the demographic challenge that also needs to be faced", said the ambassador.

The two officials also agreed to deepen "the areas already in progress, including institutional capacity building and human capital formation".

Cited in the note, the ambassador referred that the strategic partnership between the two countries in the field of justice is already old and has been deepened. "With the support of Portugal, Angola has implemented important legislative measures for the consolidation of the rule of law", adds the statement.

"In terms of building the legal structure of Angola, Portugal has given great support in consolidating the rule of law. And then there are also aspects to be highlighted, such as cooperation between our attorneys general of the Republic. Globally, it is a fundamental relationship that is well and that is recommended. It is a healthy relationship", concluded Francisco Alegre Duarte.
