The João Bosco dos Santos Reception Center – Mbembua Center called for the creation of a detachment of Madeiran teachers to collaborate with the project, indicated the president of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira.

:

"The institution, from the province of Cuando-Cubando, supports about 40 boys, aged between six and 24 years old, most of these children and young people were abandoned by their families", says the office of José Manuel Rodrigues. , in a statement.

The president of the regional parliament met, in Funchal, with Zélia Pinto, a Madeiran religious who has worked at the Mbembua Center since 2009, who conveyed her intention to "see an agreement for the secondment of teachers to that African country".

"It is a mission that the Franciscan Congregation of Nossa Senhora das Vitórias integrated in its work of benevolence, in 2015", explained Zélia Pinto, quoted in the statement, adding that there are "many children outside the education system", as well as "difficulties of a integral education" and "adequate didactics so that in less time one can learn what is necessary".

The nun would therefore like to see consecrated the possibility of a detachment of teachers from Madeira, who intend to associate themselves with the project, helping to form "free people, responsible and lovers of the common good".

"It is with pain that I see schools closing here, in the region, and in the place where I am there are many children who do not have access to the education system, and sharing, here, will be an asset", she reinforced.

Zélia Pinto also said she supports volunteering, but stressed that it is preferable to "detach people with a profile, because the demands are great and it is necessary to have a strong emotional balance".

Another of the sectors that the Mbembua Center wants to develop is agriculture, as the institution has a "large area of land", so the religious also called for "partnerships" in the agricultural sector.

Zélia Pinto, who is from Machico, east of Madeira, also stressed that the areas of education, agriculture and tourism are the least developed in that southern region.
