In a note, made available on its Facebook page, the Government states that the head of state left Luanda on Thursday morning for Kinshasa, capital of the DRC.
João Lourenço will attend the meeting as President of the Republic of Angola, but also because he assumes the temporary Presidency of the International Conference for the Great Lakes Region.
This Thursday's meeting will be attended by delegations from the 13 countries linked to that mechanism: Angola, Burundi, Kenya, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, advance the note.
"Assessing the progress achieved in the context of the implementation of the Framework Agreement for Peace, Security and Cooperation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and region is the number one purpose of the Kinshasa Summit", reveals the note.
