The discussion also focused on the process of regional economic integration, both in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFTA), where Angola has already presented its tariff offer, which is currently under consideration by the AfCFTA Secretariat.

Another aspect - institutional alignment - that also deserved the attention of the ministers was the issue of commercial diplomacy, with reference to the Statute of the Commercial Attaché.

At the meeting, which brought together senior staff from both sectors, the newly appointed Angolan Delegate at the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries - Forum Macau - was also presented by the jurist Agostinho Santos.

Overall, both holders congratulated themselves on the level of interaction maintained and agreed to maintain, whenever justified, regular meetings to align different dossiers, adds the document.
