The statistical graph of the pandemic in Angola, consulted by Lusa, indicates that the last time the African country reported a death was on February 15, almost a week ago.
Since the beginning of February, Angola has maintained a downward trajectory with regard to the disease, with an average of 20 cases in the last seven days.
According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, made public this Tuesday, the 13 new cases registered in the last 24 hours were diagnosed in the provinces of Luanda (five), Cunene (four), Zaire (two) and in Bié and Moxico, with one case each.
During this period, the laboratories processed 1776 samples by RT-PCR with a daily positivity rate of 0.7 percent. The cumulative points to 1,416,784 samples processed with a positivity rate of 7.0 percent.
Health authorities control five hospitalized patients and 10 people are in institutional quarantine.
Angola has a total of 98,671 cases, including 96,601 recovered from the disease, 171 active cases and 1,889 deaths.
