Four Angolan artists present “Muhatu” at Galeria Tamar Golan

:

Angolan artists Sofela, Maria Gena, Massuia, Isabel Apolinário will perform at Galeria Tamar Golan with “Muhatu”, a collective exhibition of four women to open next March 5th, at 6 pm and which aims to greet the International Day of Woman.

Four women with a love for art, from painting to sculpture, will celebrate March, the month of Women. This exhibition brings together four warriors, all linked by art and Angola.

Isabel Apolinário loves the bark of palm trees. Forging and the ability to recycle show the sublime way in which she expresses her feelings for the country.

Massuia is a native of Luanda, the only one trained in plastic arts, and has a considerable artistic career and participation in exhibitions.

Sofela was undergoing treatment in Portugal and, with nothing to do, she felt a 'click' and, suddenly, started to paint. Since then, she has been perfecting her technique and her knowledge, using techniques that are passed on to her by other painters.

Maria Gena signs the works with the pseudonym MY, she has a hand for jewelery, she worked with silver and with the application of precious stones.

The exhibition will be open to the public until March 26, and can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the contemporary art gallery of the Fundação Arte e Cultura, on the island of Luanda.
