This Sunday, February 21st, ZAP Viva broadcasts yet another episode of Histories of Popular Music.
From 4 pm it will be possible to know the history of the legendary Conjunto N'gola Ritmos and Banda Maravilha.
The program has testimonials from former members, contemporary artists and others who witnessed the impact of N'gola Ritmos in a pre-independence Angola.
It can be said that the N'gola Ritmos are at the origin of Semba as we know it today, and their legacy survives a lot through the merit of artists like Banda Maravilha. These have been ambassadors for the rhythms of semba and Angolan culture for more than two decades. The public will also learn more about Moreira Filho, Marito and company.
