Xavier Masule revealed that the route between Luanda and Windhoek was, in the past, the most profitable for the company, however, circumstances have changed and the route no longer makes a profit.
"The route is deficient at a level that is not sustainable, and there is no prospect of the situation changing in the foreseeable future," revealed Xavier Musule, quoted by The Namibian.
Last year, between June and October, the route was suspended because it was not viable. However, trips were resumed in October 2019 and continued until January this year.
Air Namibia started operating this route in 1992. Between 1998 and 2015, this was the route that gave the airline the most profit.
However, the company's spokesman, also quoted by the same newspaper, revealed that the case changed when Angola's economy began to fall.
