According to the Minister of Education, Ana Paula Elias, the lack of places "is a problem", the solution of which is to "build more classrooms" and also the entry of more agents into the education system.
Speaking to the press, the governor guaranteed the distribution of textbooks, especially in the first cycle of secondary education, condemning the sale of textbooks as they are freely distributed under the law.
For the academic year 2020, which runs until the second half of December, Luanda will have 17 new schools, 277 classrooms, 186,164 enrolled at different levels of education and 73,805 new students.
However, our country has more than 28 million inhabitants, with thousands of children still outside the education system and others still studying in precarious conditions.
