Visa abolition agreement between São Tomé and Príncipe and Angola may soon be

Sao Tome and Principe and Angola may soon sign several cooperation agreements, including visa exemptions for citizens in both countries, a statement from the Sao Tome Council of Ministers said on Thursday.

The Government statement, read by the spokesman, Adelino Lucas, announces "soon" the visit to São Tomé of the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Domingos Augusto, in a view during which "the signing of several documents of reinforcement of cooperation, among them which will facilitate the entry of São Toméans into Angola without visas in diplomatic, service or even ordinary passports ".

Adelino Lucas also referred that the Government of Nigeria "expressed interest" in "resuming the whole process of bilateral cooperation" with São Tomé and Príncipe, particularly with regard to ministerial commissions for oil exploration in the joint zone between the two countries.

A process that, in the opinion of the executive of Jorge Bom Jesus, "has experienced a great slowdown in recent times".
