The ambassador and his wife, Caty Nunda, dressed with typically angolan clothes to preside over the ceremony to deliver credential letters to Queen Elizabeth II.

The attitude of the ambassador and his wife - who dressed in a southern samacaca - has received much applause, as this was the first time that the ambassadors of Angola had dressed in a typical costume of their country at such an event.

Caty Nunda's samacaca was created by Angolan designer Nadir Tati, who on her Facebook page thanked the ambassadors for wearing her clothes.

"Thank you Mr. Ambassador of Angola to the United Kingdom, General Geraldo Nunda, for the opportunity to show my work in this ceremony so important to you, to Angola and to the world. This is how Angolan fashion comes to the Palace of Queen Elizabeth II," wrote the designer.
