Here we share with you some suggestions for having fun with those you like the most, from the cheapest to the most expensive. We include restaurants that serve tasting menus in which the dishes have names... finally, romantic (?), as well as some events that we picked up from the Cultural Menu. Without further ado:
Restaurants with tasting menus
Lookal Beach Club
Concept: chocolate-based tasting menu by Portuguese chef Luís Campos. He is new at Lookal and works together with our well known Celestino Fernandes (former Espaço Luanda). The menu has four dishes and includes starter (sushi), lobster, veal loin, and dessert.
The restaurant says: "When Princess Maria Teresa of Spain became engaged to King Louis XIV of France, she sent him chocolate as a gift in a heart-shaped basket, thus creating the custom for lovers to give themselves with chocolate. Inspired by the tradition between King Louis XIV of France and Princess Maria Theresa of Spain, we made this menu totally thought of the harmony between chocolate and love".
Reason: It is the fashionable restaurant at the moment. Good to see and be seen. And the restaurant is beautiful.
Lândana Restaurant
Concept: tasting menu by renowned Angolan chef Rui Sá, based on innovative interpretations of national products. The menu has five dishes: starter (oysters!), smoked lobster, tranche of dentex, veal loin and dessert.
Reason: stage for our next Nomad Dinner by LNL (which took place on the 20th February), Lândana, located in the Alvalade district, is one of the restaurants with the best quality - price ratio here in the urban hull, taking into account who is in the kitchen. It's very worth trying the food of this chef.
Live Luanda
Concept: tasting menu with two starter options, four main course options, and two dessert options.
Reason: Viva Luanda, on the Cruise, is already a classic and one of our favorite restaurants in Luanda. Eating well here is a guarantee, and the menu promises. This is the place to choose if your main goal tonight is to taste it properly.
Junkembo
Concept: tasting menu with five plates. Live music on the terrace.
Reason: it is the ex-libris of Mutamba and the most pleasant restaurant in the area. Chic, unpretentious, elegant and friendly. Book a table on the terrace!
