Josina Baião said that this was the only process already completed of the three that started last year and that it also includes an office building on Avenida da República, in Lisbon, and the Brancanes convent, in Setúbal.
"Quinta do Lazareto generated around 13 million euros, 45 percent above the amount originally forecast", said the administrator of Sonangol this Thursday in Luanda, in a press conference, within the scope of the 44th anniversary of the state oil company.
Josina Baião said that the other two sales processes have not yet been concluded, and a specialized entity has been hired to complete the process, taking into account that “it is not worth Sonangol to do real estate management”.
As for the sale of another range of companies, of the Atlântida group, the processes related to Atlântida Viagens Luanda and Atlântida Viagens e Turismo Lisboa were concluded at the end of January, and the proposals received are still being evaluated.
Currently, another process of sale of five assets is underway: Sonaid, Hotel Suite Maianga, the company Founton (real estate management), and two others belonging to the Sonasurf group (maritime support to the Angolan 'offshore').
Sonangol is also preparing the sale of another 11 assets that should start in April, said the same official.
It is a group of entities linked to the Sonamet, Sonils, Sonatide, Sonadiets, Painal, Petromar groups, the Kwanda base, in Soyo (Zaire) and also BAI, where the oil company holds variable interests.
Josina Baião did not elaborate on the prospect of financial inclusion: "The prospects for collection are yet to be determined. Only after the completion of these works will we have sales objectives with more concrete details".
