In statements to the press, the spokesperson said that the sentence may become known in March. According to Amor de Fátima, quoted by Jornal de Angola, the judgment could be read before the defence and the prosecution present their final allegations.
However, the trial has been marked by some unforeseen events. On Tuesday, the session had to be postponed after the Minister of State for Economic and Social Development, Manuel Nunes Júnior, did not appear in court.
The minister's hearing was rescheduled for today, Wednesday, and was scheduled to begin at 09h30.
In addition, the court is still waiting for the answers of the former president - who is linked to the case, after the defence of Valter Filipe, former governor of the National Bank of Angola, included him in the list of reporters - to the questionnaire that was sent.
