According to a video released by the government and to which VerAngola had access, the act will be held in the municipality of Negage, in Uíge.
This year, the celebrations aim to mark the 64th anniversary of the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation.
The event will be under the motto "Angola 50 years: Preserving and Valuing the Achievements Made, Building a Better Future".
The video recalls the date on which the "sons of Angola" faced Portuguese colonialism: "February 4, 1961, honor to the sons of Angola who raised their voices and machetes against Portuguese colonialism."
This year, the country celebrates the 64th anniversary of February 4th next Tuesday. February 4, 1961 was marked by the fact that Angolan guerrillas armed with machetes launched attacks in Luanda, with the aim of freeing nationalists imprisoned by the Portuguese colonial regime, thus beginning the fight for national liberation.
