EY launches radio program to promote financial literacy

The latest national radio program is called 'EY Vamos Conversar' and will promote financial literacy through an analysis and simplification of the themes and concepts that mark the current economic and financial situation in Angola and the world. The program's premiere featured the participation of Carlos Basto, Office Managing Partner at EY Angola, and the recording is now available online.

Lasting 10 minutes, the program is broadcast bimonthly on Rádio MFM, on Fridays, starting at 8 am. The first program has already aired, but the recordings will always be available on YouTube.

“The launch of ‘EY Let’s Talk’ is part of our purpose to build a better working world and shape the future with confidence. Throughout the various programs, we will have the presence of EY Angola consultants, who will explain current topics and share reading suggestions to deepen knowledge and tips related to our areas of activity, such as taxation, technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, among others. ”, explains Carlos Basto, Office Managing Partner at EY, in a statement sent to VerAngola.

The next program is scheduled for Friday, January 31, with the participation of Milton Melo, Partner and Head of Tax at EY Angola, who will address the main tax changes presented in the 2025 General State Budget, with a direct impact on families.

As part of the promotion of financial literacy, earlier this year, EY Angola also launched the ‘EY Explains’ section, which consists of conversations with experts on topics from its service lines, available on the company’s channel.

To date, four episodes have been released, on the main tax changes presented in the 2025 General State Budget, the tax benefits that directly benefit companies involved in projects classified as being of public interest, the exemption from Stamp Duty in the interbank money market. and the main changes in VAT that can benefit the Angolan industry.
