Petro World invests in training young Angolans for new lubricants factory

Petro World will invest in training young Angolans, aiming to qualify the workforce for the future lubricant processing factory, which is expected to open this year.

In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company specialized in trading physical commodities announced a training program for young Angolans, which aims to qualify labor for its future factory, informing that it will offer courses in several areas.

"To ensure the operational excellence of the plant, Petro World will offer courses in the areas of industrial lubrication with a focus on oil analysis, selection of lubricants and lubrication systems, industrial maintenance in the segments of electromechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, automation and occupational safety, logistics and process management to optimize plant operations," the statement said.

The importance of this investment was highlighted by Petro World's general manager, Evandro dos Santos, who said he believes that "training qualified professionals is fundamental to the success" of the manufacturing unit.

"We believe that training qualified professionals is essential for the success of our new plant. By offering development opportunities to young people, we are investing in the future of our country," he said, speaking to the press at the pre-launch of the Angola Oil&Gas Conference, which took place this Tuesday, in Luanda.

"The training program is part of Petro World's commitment to local development, with a focus on investment in education and professional qualifications," says the statement, which adds that the company thus seeks to "contribute to the growth of the national industry and generate employment opportunities for young Angolans".

According to the director, the objective is to "invest in socially responsible projects" that directly benefit communities: "The objective is to invest in socially responsible projects, such as education, health and infrastructure initiatives, that directly benefit the local communities where the company operates".

Named VKB Petroleum, the future factory, "expected to begin operations this year, will have the capacity to produce 10,000 liters of various lubricants per day, meeting the demand of the automotive, industrial and other sectors."
