Under the responsibility of Genea Angola, the works, which are part of the Bay of Moçâmedes requalification project, have an execution period of eight months.

On the occasion, Yuri Almeida, director of Genea Angola, expressed the company's commitment to delivering the project within the deadlines: "It is an emblematic work, but unfortunately, it was suspended in 1975 and, fortunately, now we will be able to finish this project, hence we are committed to executing and delivering it on time, not only for the city, but also for the country."

Quoted by Angop, the administrator also said that the work is part of the social action of a more extensive project that is underway in the city, which consists of rehabilitating the Port of Namibe and Sacomar.

Cine Estúdio has been making a splash in recent weeks: at the beginning of this month it became known that this infrastructure will be transformed into a cultural center, while a few days later it was reported that researchers from the University of Porto will carry out a study to conserve this enterprise.

It is worth noting that the Vice President of the Republic is carrying out a work trip in the province of Namibe, where she arrived this Wednesday.

"After being received at Welwitschia Mirabilis airport by the provincial governor, Archer Mangueira, the Vice President of the Republic went to the town of Caraculo, in the municipality of Bibala, where she saw the rapid adaptation process of the camels offered to the Angolan State by the UAE, within the scope of the tourism promotion project, whose number grew from 101 to 127 animals", reads a statement from the provincial government of Namibe, to which VerAngola had access.

Esperança da Costa's work day in that province "also includes a trip to the municipality of Virei to see the historical component and the current state of the Chitundu-Hulu Station, which is in the process of being elevated to world historical heritage status", as well as will launch the 'Okulinonga' project, designed by the provincial government "to teach reading and writing to children affected by the phenomenon of transhumance, facilitating their social inclusion".

"Among other activities, the agenda that ends on Friday includes visits to the infrastructures that make up the historical heritage of the municipality of Moçâmedes, with emphasis on the Cine Estúdio, which will begin completion works this month, and will guide the III Meeting of the Interministerial Commission for the Safeguarding of the World Heritage of Humanity", the statement further states.
