According to a statement from the Provincial Government of Cabinda, to which VerAngola had access, the provincial transport network now has 14 new buses since this Tuesday.

"To increase the capacity and fluidity of public road transport, in Cabinda, the Provincial Government delivered, on Tuesday, 30/01, to licensed operators, another 14 buses, with a capacity of 64 seats each", reads the statement.

Mara Quiosa, governor of Cabinda, who presided over the event, said that the delivery of these means aims to "improve the quality of service provision in the transport of citizens, thus avoiding flooding at stops and allowing the creation of new routes".

On the occasion, the governor also took the opportunity to recommend operators to comply with contractual clauses, as well as to maintain the resources made available, while operators committed to "comply with established standards, contributing to user satisfaction".

In the field of Health, according to another statement from the provincial government, to which VerAngola had access, reinforcement included the provision of new means of transport.

Thus, the provincial government delivered, also this Tuesday, to the Health sector, "seven vehicles, including two ambulances (Toyota Land Cruiser), for the municipalities of Cabinda and Cacongo, four Toyota Hilux vehicles, for the four municipalities, and a mobile clinic from the Institute for Combating and Controlling Trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness), which will reinforce itinerary consultations within the Keba Buvinha Project", says the statement.

The government of Cabinda also recalls that the municipalities of Buco-Zau and Belize had already received an ambulance each last year.

Still in the field of Health, the first Health Fair of 2024 also took place, in which consultations in 19 specialties were made available to citizens, "with emphasis on prenatal care, pediatrics, gynecology-obstetrics, general medicine, surgery, orthopedics, dermatology, among others".

In addition, "impregnated mosquito nets were also given to pregnant women and mothers with children under five years of age, with around 150 professionals involved in the fair, including doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, statistics technicians, drivers and others", reads the statement.

"The scale of this activity represents a clear demonstration of the importance and priority that the Government attributes to improving health services and care for the population", considered Mara Quiosa.
