Regarding this achievement, achieved on December 28th, the president of the Gas Unit's Executive Committee, Manuel Barros, considered that "reaching the target means satisfactorily meeting the demand of the national market".

Quoted in a statement from Sonangol, to which VerAngola had access, Manuel Barros listed as "factors that most contributed to this achievement" the commitment of employees, "the focus and commitment of the workforce, both in the operational areas and in the areas of support; permanent monitoring of the performance of gas sources and, consequently, timely use and effective logistics coordination".

For this year, he said, the goal is to reach the "historical milestone of selling 500,000 metric tons of butane gas."

"By 2024, we expect to reach the historic milestone of selling 500,000 metric tons of butane gas. We will also improve operational efficiency, completing the rehabilitation of the country's largest filling infrastructures, namely the Carlos Pinto Nogueira and in Lobito. We will also begin the rehabilitation of the facilities in Huambo and Namibe", he said, quoted in the note.

"Specific training actions for employees are also planned, with emphasis on obtaining certifications".
