The Ministry of Transport, in a statement made available to VerAngola, says that the work being carried out at the terminal is 60 percent completed, with completion scheduled for the end of the first quarter of this year.

Thus, according to the note, passengers will be able, according to the contractor's perspectives, to use this terminal at the beginning of the second quarter.

Among the added values of the terminal, we highlight the transport of goods between Luanda, Zaire and Cabinda and "in addition to the improvement that it will introduce in the mobility of the citizens of these three provinces", says the statement.

It should be noted that, this week, the Minister of Transport, Ricardo Viegas D'Abreu, made a working visit to the site, accompanied by the Secretary of State for the civil aviation, maritime and port sectors, Emílio Londa.

The Port of Lunda Maritime Passenger Terminal was also visited, which according to the statement is well equipped.

"In addition to the modern passenger boarding and disembarking halls, the Port of Luanda Maritime Passenger Terminal has a horizontal conveyor to forward luggage to the containerization area in a fluid way, a conveyor in a row that avoids crowding them, and a specific area for their collection. It also has efficient check-in services and a restaurant", reads in the document.

Currently, this terminal, adds the note, "has an ongoing project to explore the parking lot in Luanda Bay, to better serve its customers".
