The information was advanced by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, after a working visit to Cabinda. According to the minister, the HGC has the skills to host "a national training center for specialized staff".
The holder of the Health portfolio also added that the ministry was working on an "ambitious plan" for the specialized training of health professionals, including doctors, nurses, diagnostic technicians and general practitioners.
She thus defended that Cabinda has a hospital of national reference, equipped with various valences and competent professionals, capable of transmitting knowledge to other technicians.
According to Angop, Sílvia Lutucuta also announced the arrival in Cabinda of 175 doctors for a "rotation of transmission of knowledge within the scope of training".
The minister outlined the objective that, by the end of this five-year period, MINSA could have more than 3000 specialist doctors, an equal number of nurses and an equal number of diagnostic technicians.
Also during this visit, the minister met with members of the hospital's clinical staff, having been informed about the unit's productivity and positive results, preventing critical cases from having to be evacuated to hospitals in Luanda.
