Authorities detain police who accused investigating officers of involvement in drug trafficking

The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) detained a policeman, who accused, in a public complaint, senior officers of that body of the Ministry of the Interior of being involved in drug trafficking.

The 33-year-old detainee is a member of the National Police of Angola, and made the accusations on the program "Tem a Palavra", on RTP África, and, according to a press release from SIC, to which the Lusa agency had access this Monday, has the post of first agent, placed in the Personal Security Police Unit of Protocol Entities, in the Public Relations department.

SIC highlights in the note that due to the "gravity of the facts" it carried out investigations that culminated in the location and consequent arrest of the individual accused of crimes of outrage against the State, its Symbols and Bodies, "consubstantiated in the verbal production of false statements, slanderous information and defamatory statements against State institutions (Supreme Court, Ministry of the Interior and SIC)".

According to the note, the accused confessed to the crime, claiming that "it was a spontaneous act, solely with the intention of soiling the Angolan State, with emphasis on the SIC institution, in the alleged involvement in drug trafficking by its members, stimulated by the news that follows through social networks, not knowing any of the Supreme Court judges, much less senior staff from SIC, since everything he declared was inspired by the statements of other participants in the program and social networks".

The detained citizen, informs the SIC, will be presented to the Public Ministry.

Speaking to the press, the accused said he was aware that his action could cause him problems, but he justified the complaint: "I wanted to express the harshness and sadness that we live within the corporation".
