Estrela da Amadora hires young Angolan midfielder Maestro

The Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora hired the young Angolan midfielder Maestro, 18 years old, coveted by several Portuguese and European clubs, an official source from SAD of the II Football League set told Lusa.

António Simão Muanza, known in the football world as Maestro, arrives from the Angola Football Academy [AFA] and, according to the same source, the player received approaches from Trofense and Leixões, of the same level, and from the Spaniards of Almería.

"The work carried out by André Geraldes and his investment partners in SAD, namely Paulo Lopo, brought the medium 'box-to-box' that Estrela was looking for this winter", he explained, adding that the 'tricolors' achieve "100 per percent of the midfielder's sporting rights, through a complex operation between the Angolan club, the Angolan Football Federation and the Portuguese Football Federation".

The central midfielder represented his country's under-17 team at the 2019 World Cup, in which he participated in the four duels that Angola played in the tournament, being the team eliminated in the 'eighth'.

Maestro will already be part of the work at the orders of coach Ricardo Chéu as of this Wednesday, when the visit of the eighth of the II Portuguese football league, with 25 points, to the stronghold of Mafra, in 10th place, with 24, is being prepared. next Tuesday at 18:00.
