The PNA states in its report, made public this Monday, that 1031 suspects were arrested in this period, namely 123 for alleged crimes against property, 272 for thefts, 40 alleged perpetrators of homicides and 40 for suspected sexual assaults.
52 firearms of various calibers, 14 vehicles and 69 motorbikes were also seized.
The highest crime rates were reported in the provinces of Luanda, Cuanza Norte and Cuando-Cubango.

On the other hand, in Luanda, at least 60 motorists were arrested for the crimes of illegal driving and in a state of drunkenness, over the weekend, a period in which 14 road accidents were registered, resulting in two deaths.
Police in the capital also detained 137 citizens suspected of committing various crimes and seized 7 firearms.
As part of the regularization and inspection of car traffic, nine motorbikes were also seized and 155 citizens were sanctioned for various violations of the Highway Code.
