According to the spokesman for the Luanda provincial command of the National Police, Nestor Goubel, at around 06:00 am, a policeman shot at two colleagues and a civilian, and then committed suicide.
Nestor Goubel referred that it is a voluntary homicide followed by suicide, with the occurrence of shooting, at the Ministry of Interior.
"[Following the] investigations carried out, we were able to ascertain that four permanent guard and garrison officers at the Ministry of the Interior had a disagreement due to the disappearance of a firearm belonging to the agent who was called Agostinho Tchissolulu in his lifetime," he explained.
The official pointed out that the above-mentioned agent missed his pistol inside his vehicle, having asked his colleagues, but no one answered.
"Concerned, they returned along the paths they had passed in service and were told that the pistol was not there, already at the place of service, at the ministry, they decided to carry out a search of everyone, when the agent Manuel Félix replied that the weapon was with him and this resulted in a fight," he said.
As a result, he also indicated Nestor Goubel, "dissatisfied with having given the pistol to the owner, he went out in search of a firearm, the Galil brand, and fired several shots at the owner of the pistol".
"The injured person was promptly rescued to the hospital, and as a result, the same executioner fatally shot the fireman Flávio Neto, a third, civilian, passerby, at the time was going to pass, who was also rescued to the hospital", he stressed.
The Luanda Police spokesman added that the author of the shooting "seeing the death of his colleague and the scale of the tragedy he had caused, took up his weapon and committed suicide".
Nestor Goubel said that this is preliminary information and that an investigative process has been opened to investigate further elements.
