The brand offered 44 screenings, carried out at the Association of Solidarity to Children and Adolescents, in Luanda, last December, which benefited the children, youth and employees of this institution.
After the screenings, it was necessary to perform visual diagnoses through optometry consultations to 22 people, confirming the existence of refractive defects in vision - myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism - in all people in this group, resulting in the need to undergo use glasses.
The optometrist at Centrooptico issued a prescription with the appropriate graduation for each case and, after consultation, the children were able to choose their favorite frames, allowing them to take their glasses on the same day.
A statement sent to VerAngola explains that this action is part of Centrooptico's social responsibility plan, involving 44 screenings, 22 optometry consultations, a prescription glasses for an adult and 19 prescription glasses for children and young people, among the 10 and 19 years old.
“It is always a great joy to be able to support those who need it most. These children and young people start to have a much higher quality of life, from the moment their visual needs are met. For Centrooptico, the health and well-being of the people who are part of our communities are a priority and, therefore, we are very honored to have the opportunity to help these children to see the future with more health ”, said José Geraldes, technical director of Centrooptico.
