Angolan doctor receives certificate of merit for his work against covid-19 in Brazil

The Angolan doctor João Wilson da Rocha was awarded a certificate of honor for his work on the front line in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic in Brazil.

The dedication, commitment and competence of the Angolan were recognized by the crisis committee of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo (USP), which decided to thank the work developed by João Wilson da Rocha in the fight against the pandemic, honoring him with the certificate of honor.

"This certificate of honor to the merit is from all the Angolan people, especially those who are in the front line in the fight against the pandemic," he said, quoted by the Platinaline.

João Wilson da Rocha graduated in medicine from Belgorod State University Medical School in Russia. After completing the course, the health professional worked in some public and private hospitals in Luanda and in the Ministry of Health and co-founded the Club dos Médicos.

The doctor has been working on the front line against covid-19 for almost a year and for this reason he has already been given the vaccine against the disease, indicates the Platinaline.

USP is on the list of the 200 best universities in the world, while Hospital das Clínicas is ranked among the best hospitals and teaching centers in the world, ranking number one in the list of the largest and best public hospital in Latin America.
