For her part, the minister of Tourism, embraced the initiative of that ministerial department, making it clear that her ministry will work in concert with the Ministry of Defense to implement the plan in the tourism area. “The tourism sector is a cross-cutting body and, as such, we should take advantage of this opening of the Ministry of Defense and unite synergies for such a noble objective,” said Angela Bragança, in a statement sent to VerAngola.
It is envisaged that in the short term, a cooperation protocol will be drawn up between the two ministries, where a framework of priority actions will be defined.
The Ministry of Tourism foresees, for this year, a greater focus on boosting domestic tourism, with private sector initiatives, supported by joint institutional actions with the ministerial departments and provincial governments. The aim is also to galvanize international tourism through the enhancement of various valences of the country, which constitute comparative advantages.
