Macau Telecommunications Company signs memorandum with Angola Cables

The Macau Telecommunications Company (CTM) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the telecommunications multinational Angola Cables to increase business opportunities between Macau, mainland China and Lusophone African countries and Brazil.

The partnership, signed in December, aims to set the terms, promote strategies and opportunities to link the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Grand Bay area to Africa and the Americas, in particular to Portuguese-speaking countries on both continents.

For CTM Chairman Vandy Poon, the partnership reflects the company's position to actively participate in fulfilling Macao's role in the Grand Bay and China's "one lane, one route" initiative.
