“We are aware of this situation, which we have been following for some time,” says the European supervisory institution in a short written response sent to the Lusa agency.
Questioned by Lusa about the ‘Luanda Leaks’ case, EBA guarantees that it is already “in contact with the relevant competent authorities”, without detailing or giving further details.
EBA is the European Union agency responsible for the regulation and supervision of the banking sector in all Member States.
Banco de Portugal also stated that it will withdraw the due consequences of information received from EuroBic, and the Securities Market Commission (CMVM) indicated that it has already advanced with concrete supervisory actions.
