PwC consultant confirms cut with businesswoman Isabel dos Santos

The consultant PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) confirmed that it had terminated service contracts to companies controlled by Angolan businesswoman Isabel dos Santos, following the publication of news reports that reveal suspicious transactions and allegedly fraudulent schemes.

:

"We strive to maintain the highest professional standards at PwC and set expectations for consistent ethical behavior across all PwC companies in our global network. In response to the very serious and worrying allegations raised, we immediately launched an investigation and are working to thoroughly assess the facts and conclude our investigation", commented the consultant, in a statement sent to the agency Lusa.

The same note adds that it took "measures to end any work in progress for entities controlled by members of the Santos family".

A consortium of investigative journalism revealed on Sunday more than 715 thousand files, under the name "Luanda Leaks", which detail financial schemes of Isabel dos Santos and her husband, Sindika Dokolo, which will be the source of the family's fortune.
