The return of De Beers to the country and the entrance of Rio Tinto - the two largest mining companies in the world - are being negotiated by Endiama.
According to José Manuel Ganga Júnior, Endiama's CEO, it would be good if the companies entered the Angolan market. In an interview with Jornal de Angola, he explained that these companies have seen "support the national sector, earn money and raise the bar in terms of production".
De Beers was present in the country between 2005 and 2012, however, due to lack of results it ended up leaving diamond exploration in Angola. However, Ganga Júnior revealed that the company has shown "interest in returning".
