PR replaces Cunene governor a week after appointing him

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, appointed this Monday a new governor for the province of Cunene, following the resignation of Sérgio Leonardo Vaz, appointed last week, even before he took office.

:

"Having verified, after the appointment, that there are situations that are being dealt with by the competent entities and that discourage possession, Sérgio Leonardo Vaz, from the position of governor of the province of Cunene, is exonerated", says a note from the President's Civil House.

In the statement, sent to Lusa, it is stated that “the President of the Republic appointed Gerdina Ulipame Didalewa to occupy the position of governor of the province of Cunene".

Gerdina Ulipame Didalewa thus takes the place that would be Sergio Leonardo Vaz, appointed by presidential decree on January 21, and who has now been exonerated.

The statement from the President's Civil House also announces the appointment of Mário Augusto Caetano João to the post of Secretary of State for the Economy, and Carla Maísa Pereira Tavares to the vice-governor of the province of Namibe for the Political, Social and Economic.

Ema Samali Henriques da Silva Guimarães was also appointed to the post of vice-governor of the Namibe Province for Technical Services and Infrastructure.

According to the note, José Chindongo António was also exonerated from the post of vice governor of the province of Namibe for Technical Services and Infrastructure, and Josefa Joana Rebeca, who is thus removed from the post of vice governor of the province of Namibe for the Political, Social and Economic sector.
