Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs assures that cooperation with Angola covers all áreas

The Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, assured this Monday that the cooperation between Portugal and Angola "extends to all areas" and "is working".

MIGUEL A. LOPES:

Augusto Santos Silva was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Seminar, which began this Monday in Lisbon, and answered a question about Portugal's willingness to collaborate with the asset seizure process launched by the Angolan justice to Isabel dos Santos, with interests in several Portuguese companies.

"Today we cooperate with Angola in all areas: political, diplomatic, political-military, educational, cultural, economic. And there is also cooperation between the two tax administrations and between the judicial authorities," the minister said.

"I am a member of the government, so I don't pronounce myself on issues and judicial processes. But what I can say, as Minister of Foreign Affairs, is that cooperation between Portugal and Angola today extends to all areas and is working", he insisted.
