Tellas is a platform identical to the giant Netflix but exclusively dedicated to Portuguese language content. As stated in a statement sent to VerAngola at Tellas, the subscriber may have access to movies, documentaries, stand-up comedy sessions, live events and other content that “enhances what is done with quality in Africa in general and Angola in particular".
“This platform is an important communication lever for producers, filmmakers, comedians and other cultural actors who now have a place to publicize their work. I challenge all national talents to send their projects to Tellas such as series, video clips, entertainment programs, information programs or plays to reach as many people as possible. On our side, we ensure subtitling in different languages and we want producers with talent to join us”, said Sílvio Nascimento.
You can now subscribe to the Tellas service at www.tellas.ao and the application is now available for Android and iOS. The subscription has a monthly cost of 1000 kwanzas, which can be paid by bank reference. There is a launch promotion valid for the next 60 days for first time members who can subscribe to the platform for free.
The goals for 2020 are ambitious and Sílvio Nascimento says that in August he expects to reach the milestone reaching 1,000,000 subscribers. This goal "will allow us to gain more relevance and make us more attractive to investments that can contribute to the dissemination of national cultural talent", he adds.
