As part of the visit, the president of the company's Board of Directors (PCA), António Coelho da Cruz, made a presentation of the company's main objectives.

"The delegation was received in the meeting room by the CFM Board of Directors, where the PCA, António Coelho da Cruz, presented the company's main objectives, highlighting the great potential of the Southern Corridor for the socioeconomic development of the region", states the CFM, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

On the occasion, Hélder Sampaio, commercial director of the United Kingdom embassy, expressed interest in establishing partnerships with the railway, "with a focus on investment in railway infrastructure, transfer of technical know-how and support in professional training, including teaching of the English language".

After the initial approaches, the delegation visited the CFM facilities, "including CITRANS (Center for Transport Innovation and Technologies), the Directorate of General Workshops and the Technical School, where they were able to observe how the technical training structures work".

In a context in which Angola "seeks to attract more and more foreign investment, the Southern Corridor stands out as a strategic hub, driven by its potential in the mining and agricultural sectors", points out the note, which also adds that this visit "represents a important step in strengthening relations between Angola and the United Kingdom, in addition to opening up promising prospects for the future of the Moçâmedes Railway".
