According to the company's PCA, from the first half of next year, the company will begin to receive wheelsets that are in the purchase process.

The person in charge said that they plan to have the 50 carriages working by the second half of the year: "Within a week we will receive more wheelsets coming for the locomotives from South Africa. They have already been loaded and this process will continue. We think that by the second semester we will have the 50 promised carriages in service for the benefit of our population", he said, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

Furthermore, according to the PCA, in 2025, the Camacove train is also expected to begin running, designed to transport cargo on intercity routes.

"We will have a Lobito-Huambo train. We will have another Expresso Huambo-Luena train for the mobility of people who don't want to be riding a train that stops at every station. There are these prospects and we think the news is good", he added, quoted by Jornal de Angola.

At the moment, he added, the CFB only operates with 26 wagons, transporting "a total of 3000 passengers" per day.

As for the numbers recorded last year, the official indicated that the CFB transported 1,300,000 passengers, and this number is expected to increase next year with the departure of new carriages.

Although it is facing difficulties in financial and technical terms, the company has been investing in its modernization, also indicated António Cabral, who added that they have "been carrying out" the "work of serving, and the result is positive in the transport environment of people."
