He also said that he hopes that the players called up for the double clash with Lesotho, counting for the second qualifying phase of CHAN 2025, will awaken talents that can be part of the team that seeks to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The objective is to form a team ready to join the group that participates in the qualifiers for the world cup and CAN2025, pointed out the national selector, who, cited by Angop, added that, despite the group having athletes with experience, the aim is to project of these players' careers so that they can play in highly demanding competitions.
It is worth noting that this will be the country's fifth participation in CHAN.
