According to a statement from the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), to which VerAngola had access, the team is already in Johannesburg to compete in this year's edition of the competition.
"The 'Palanquinhas' debut is scheduled for Wednesday, at 11am, against Lesotho, in the first round of the group", says the FAF.
For the competition, coach Domingos da Silva 'Mitó' called up 17 athletes.
In the competition, Angola is part of group A, also composed of the teams from Lesotho, Malawi and Mozambique.
Angola has two titles in this competition, having won the first in 2018 and the second in 2021.
The squad list is made up of Gelson and Tremoço (goalkeeper); Ivan, Marquitos, Galinha and Josemar (defenders); Lucas, Omar, Densel, Edinho, Jairo and Manilson (midfielders) and Eliseu, Edilásio, Kalanguinha, Hugo and Pirevane (strikers).
