Businessman Silvestre Tulumba distinguished with the award for ‘greatest business reference in the country’

The National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) distinguished businessman Silvestre Tulumba as the “greatest business reference in the country”. The distinction was awarded during the ANJE 2024 awards gala, held this Thursday at the Hotel Intercontinental, in Luanda.

For the businessman, who has seven companies in the financial and non-financial sector aggregated in the A S. Tulumba - Investimentos e Participações, Limitada group, this award comes to recognize his 25-year career in the business world.

On the occasion, he also spoke about future bets, which include turning his attention to agriculture. Speaking to Angop, Silvestre Tulumba highlighted the investment in the agricultural sector as one of his commitments to increasing food production at national level.

Several other personalities who stand out in different areas were also distinguished during the gala. This is the case, for example, of Yola Semedo (singer), Calado Show (humorist), Costa Vilola (humorist), Pinto Matamba (businessman), Hariana Verás (journalist) and Wiliam Oliveira (businessmen).

Also speaking on the occasion was Marilena Laureano, secretary of the President of the Republic for Social Affairs, who considered that this event stimulates innovation, promotes competitiveness, as well as motivating thousands of young people in the country to believe that they can also make an impact.

Entrepreneurship is a journey of challenges, but with significant rewards in financial terms and personal achievement that impacts socially, helping the well-being of society, she pointed out, recognizing the progress of public policies over the years, aiming to stimulate the climate of business, economic diversification and reducing dependence on oil.

She also took the opportunity to remember that the National Development Plan, with a period of five years, foresees initiatives aimed at the development of entrepreneurship and industry, with the aim of reducing poverty and increasing jobs, as well as encouraging new businesses, writes Angop.

It is worth noting that the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino, was one of those present at the ceremony.
