The announcement was made this Monday by TAAG, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

"TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola has just expanded its network of regional destinations, offering two weekly flights between Luanda and Ponta Negra, the second largest city and main commercial center in the Republic of Congo", reads the document.

The airline informs that the inaugural flight will take place this Monday and that this route will have two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays.

"The inaugural Luanda-Ponta Negra flight will take place on Monday, December 12th. This route will have two weekly flights with departures on Mondays and Fridays, operated by the DASH 8 aircraft with capacity for 74 passengers, 64 of which in economy class and 10 in executive class", says the note.

With this connection, the company advances to add eight destinations in Africa "thus reinforcing its role as a reference operator in the region, guaranteeing connection to a diversity of Lusophone, French-speaking and English-speaking countries".

Thus, he adds, the flag carrier "starts connecting 13 cities globally, namely: Ponta Negra (Republic of Congo), Accra (Ghana), Cape Town, Johannesburg (South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia), Maputo (Mozambique), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Lagos (Nigeria), São Tomé (São Tomé and Príncipe), Lisbon and Madrid in the European continent, as well as São Paulo and Havana in the Americas".

The company also considers that Ponta Negra is "an attractive destination for the oil industry segment and the corporate market, its tourist and leisure potential being another business card of this new connection made available by TAAG".

"TAAG thus signals its commitment to continue to grow, to offer more destinations to the customer, providing more and more connectivity to the Angolan market", concludes the company.
