Victor Jorge, Municipal Director of Education at Luau, quoted by Angop, revealed that classes start in January. He also made it known that 350 students are already enrolled and that the classes will be provided by 22 teachers, hired in the last public contest.

IMA was built as part of the Public Investment Program (PIP), on an area of 16 hectares.

It consists of 16 classrooms, a library, an auditorium, cafeteria, laboratory, dormitories, agricultural fields for practical classes and a multi-purpose field.

With capacity to receive more than 1000 students, divided in three shifts, of which 200 in boarding school, the institute will train technicians in agrarian, mechanized and agronomic management and also on forest resources.

IMA do Luau will be the first in the eastern region of the country to provide medium technical and basic training on agriculture and agricultural management.
