Beach hotels in Angola: 9 suggestions for a seafront weekend

For 1600 long kilometers the Atlantic Ocean kisses the Angolan coast; It is one of the 10 largest coastlines on the African continent. It would be abnormal, therefore, if in these 1600 km there were no comfortable places, with good beds and good snacks, where it was possible to make use of this delicious coastline; It would be even stranger if LNL didn't visit these places to share them with you.

Luanda Nightlife:

The following list includes some of the best places in the country to practice tourism, sun and sea, from the most rustic to the most exquisite, from the most urban to the most remote, in four of Angola's seven coastal provinces.

Bengo

Carpe Diem, Cabo Ledo

It is considered the best resorts in Cabo Ledo area. Located right in front of the beach, Carpe Diem is composed mostly of comfortable wooden bungalows and stands out for its services: swimming pool, restaurant, massages, camping area, surf rental, playground, beach bars, shop of crafts, and more. In order to enjoy all this at more affordable prices, we suggest you go during the week - the daily costs 15,000 kwanzas less than the weekend.

Luanda

Netu's Village, cbackboard of Mussulo (Macoco)

This is the first resort we know that is located on the back of the Mussulo. What does that mean? Almost always deserted beaches, much stronger waves than on the other shore, more space for pools and bungalows, and quiet at night. Netu's Village has an impressive infrastructure: two large pools, one for adults and one for children (the adult pool has a bar), a spacious restaurant (the kitchen is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this resort), several typologies (unfortunately the bungalow where we were staying had an unpleasant smell), and a sandy beach with beach bar and sun lounges. Works well for a family break weekend.

GlampingPoint, Mussulo

On an island full of similar concepts, GlampingPoint offers something innovative: "luxury tents" for a comfortable camping near the beach. The space has tents of various sizes - double, plus, family, etc. - and suites for those who really prefer a concrete structure. The tents are clean and nicely decorated, the managers very friendly, and the common spaces pleasant; It should be noted that there is no restaurant but "a dining room" and a lounge area. The goal here is self catering: there is a kitchen with grill, fridge and freezer and a continental breakfast is included in the price. If you don't want to grill or want a cocktail, you have to walk 5 minutes down the beach to Nautilus Bar, which has an agreement with GlampingPoint.

Benguela

Hotel Duas Faces, Baía Azul

In our opinion that no visit to Benguela can be considered serious without a swim in Baía Azul. But the master move is really staying there. Hotel Duas Faces is the only one located a few meters from this beautiful beach, one of the most beautiful in the region; Duas Faces has modern, clean and comfortable facilities, although the rooms are a bit old. During hot afternoons, after a morning at the beach, nothing beats diving into the Hotel's pool; For dinner, try the tasty dishes of the restaurant. Benguela center is a 25-minute drive away if you want a movie, nightlife or some gastronomic variety, but between the Two Faces restaurant and the beach restaurants (you have to eat fresh fish at Bodona), you will be well served.
