A statement from the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG) states that at the event, the country is represented by a delegation led by the Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso. The national delegation also comprises ANPG managers and specialists, "led by the acting PCA, Belarmino Chitangueleca, in addition to the Sonangol team, headed by its PCA, Sebastião Gaspar Martins".
According to José Barroso, the national delegation takes a message to the congress about what the country has in the sector.
"Angola is coming to discuss with the other delegations the current situation in the oil industry, to show the strength of the oil industry in Angola and the opportunities that the country has for all those who want to invest in this sector," he said, quoted in the statement.
According to the note, "in addition to participating in ministerial panels and debates, the Angola stand occupies 300 square meters, where the potential of the sector is exhibited".
This edition of the event, which takes place from December 5th to 9th, brings together industry and government leaders from around the world to debate "technological advances in upstream, midstream and downstream operations, the role of natural gas and renewable energies, management of the industry and its social, economic nature, as well as the environmental impact".
