The degree level comprises the largest number of scholarships. Of the 11,500, 10,000 are intended for degrees while the remaining 1500 are reserved for master's and doctoral levels.
"The application process for new internal scholarships is open. For the academic year 2022/2023, the institute has 11,500 new scholarships available, including 10,000 for the undergraduate level and 1500 for the master's and doctoral level", said the director general of the National Institute for Scholarship Management (INAGBE), Milton Chivela, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
The official also mentioned the requirements to be fulfilled by candidates.
"For a degree, age not exceeding 25 years and not exceeding 35 years for candidates with disabilities, being enrolled and attending the first or second year of a degree course in a duly legalized Higher Education institution and the candidate cannot be holder of an academic degree at the undergraduate level", he said quoted by RNA.
For master's and doctoral degrees, he added, they must be enrolled "in a master's or doctoral program in a duly legalized higher education institution in the national territory, have an average equal to or greater than 14 values in the previous cycle to which they apply, age not exceeding to 35 years for Master's courses and not more than 45 years for the PhD".
The scholarship application process has already started and will continue until December 30th. Interested parties must submit their application online, which can be accessed here.
In addition, Milton Chivela also made it known that applications are also open for 50 scholarships offered by Hungary: "The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program is funded by the government of Hungary, interested parties must access the INAGBE application portal and have to the 15th of January 2023 to present the candidacies", he said, quoted by RNA.
