On the 10th of November, the book "Nós, o Porto do Lobito – Ontem, Hoje e Amanhã" will be released.
In the year in which the port celebrates its 94th anniversary, its Board of Directors decided to celebrate with the launch of a book on the history of the company.
The event will take place in front of the main building in Porto do Lobito, starting at 4:00 pm.
The company's CEO, Celso Rosa, and the Minister of Transport, Ricardo D'Abreu, will speak at the event. The book will be presented by Engineer Leiria Pinto.
The book, whose stories are, in several cases, told in the first person by several emblematic figures who were and are linked to the development of the company, highlights two distinct periods in the development of Porto do Lobito.
One of the periods is its 'Past', which includes the colonial period, since it was created until 1975. The other is the 'Present', relative to the contemporary and post-independence time.
Furthermore, the book also mentions its 'Future', which has to do with the ambition to transform the current Port Operator model into a Port Lordship model.
In the work, a tribute is also paid to the various leaders who have passed through the company.
